Known for its raucous Carnaval that features samba dancers, flamboyant costumes, and parade floats, Rio De Janeiro is a place to visit, if you are looking for some fun!
From the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches to the Sugarloaf Mountain and the famous 38m Christ the Redeemer statue, there are a lot of places to chill, once you are in town!

Sugarloaf Mountain

Located at a height of 396m, this peak is named so due to its resemblance to the shape of a concentrated sugarloaf! The panoramic views of the city from the peak is a memorable experience.
You can take a 3-minute cable car ride up to Morro da Urca and then another cable ride to the Sugar Loaf. With the entire tram being glass-enclosed, you can enjoy breathtaking views during the ascend!

Christ the Redeemer

One of the seven wonders of the world, the iconic statue of Jesus Christ with his arms stretch to the sides, embracing the city on the top of the Corcovado Mountain, shouldn't be missed!
Standing at 125 feet height, the landmark statue is a religious and cultural symbol. With nearly 2 million visiting the statue every year, it is recommended you visit the place on a clear sky day, to get the best view of the city.

Copacabana

The 4 km stretch of Balneario Copacabana beach is equipped with postos (lifeguard stands) that have changing rooms and restrooms.
Towards halfway of the beach, you will find a peninsula where the Historical Museum of the Army and Copacabana Fort is located.

Ipanema Beach

The 2-mile stretch of sandy beach offers amazing mountain views, cobalt waters, sunbathing visitors, the smell of shrimps grilling on skewers and people playing futevolei (the Brazilian version of volleyball).

Escadaria Selarón

The set of mosaic tile-covered iconic stairway, also known as the Selaron Steps is a tribute to the Brazilian people by the famous artist Jorge Selarón!
With a total of 215 steps made of 2000 tiles collected from 60 countries, there's a lot of hard work behind this tourist attraction that definitely needs a visit to appreciate!

Lapa

How can you leave Rio without visiting the famous samba neighborhood of Lapa! There are plenty of tapas bars, restaurants, live music places where you can dance the whole night with the locals, sipping famous cocktails.
