One Day Most Thrilling Trek To Bhairavgad Moroshi In Malshej Ghat

Bhairavgad is one of the most thrilling adventure treks in Maharashtra. It is located im Malshej region on Mumbai - Kalyan - Murbad - Malshej road. It was an strategic outpost to keep watch around traditional Naneghat trade route and Kalyan Junnar trade route. It is well defined by a rock face called dike. Height of this fort is 1145 meter.
A sharp pinnacle of Bhairavgad is separated from other mountain range. This trek is very adventurous and needs technical climbing. This is going to be one in lifetime experience.
To reach top of Bhairavgad one has pass through criss cross ridges and jungle path.
The initial hike is through loose soil Followed by rock-cut steps. The walls overhang a little, and above, the steps are blown off . One will have to rock climb carefully above the overhang.
It rises steeply from the Kankan plains and is rather tricky to climb a prominent and unique fort. One will have to rock climb carefully above the overhang. More crumbling steps and plenty of screens before reaching the top make the trek more exciting.
Top part needs rock climbing under the guidance of experts.
While descending, rappelling is the best option to avoid any casualty.
There is small cave before reaching top.
Once you reach the top, you can see mesmerizing scenic beauty of Sahyadri ranges. The top offers a great view of Malshej Ghats, NaneGhat, Jivdhan and wall of Ajoba and Harishchandragad.
