Most Beautiful Beach Of The World, The Shipwreck Beach (Navagio)

The Shipwreck Beach (also called Navagio) on the Greek island - Zakynthos is the most beautiful beach in the world. Probably the most photographed and, arguably, beautiful beach in all of Greece, it lies in the so-called Smuggler's Cove on Zakynthos' west coast. It is made up of fine white pebbles backed by cliffs.
Navagio Beach was originally known as Agios Georgios. The beach takes its name as Shipwreck beach, from the wreck of a contraband cigarette smuggling ship that washed up here in 1980.
The MV Panagiotis - Wrecked ship at Navagio beach.
The MV Panagiotis ran aground in the waters around Zakynthos Island on Navagio Beach during stormy weather and bad visibility. It has been claimed that the ship was carrying contraband cigarettes and being chased by the Greek Navy.
The most special aspect of this beach is that it can only be accessed from the sea.
Above the beach, there is a spot which offers an astonishing view of the white cliffs and the endless mesmerizing turquoise sea.
Best way to visit Navagio beach is cruise arranged by agency.
Steep cliffs plummet down to rocky shores with white pebble beaches and crystal-clear turquoise seas at Navagio beach.
